Will a sworn translation from buzztranslator be accepted by Spanish authorities?
A sworn translation carries the signature and seal of a sworn translator, which Spanish public bodies, universities and registries recognise as an official translation. We can’t guarantee any individual case officer’s decision, but the format and signature meet the legal requirements set out in Spanish law. If your document is going to a country other than Spain, check with the receiving institution — some ask for an apostille as well, which we can arrange.
What’s the difference between a certified and a sworn translation?
In everyday use, Spanish institutions ask for a "traducción jurada" — a sworn translation, signed and sealed by a translator authorised to certify the accuracy of the translation. Some businesses use "certified" to mean the same thing; on this site, "certified & sworn" refers to that one service.
Do you translate for use outside Spain?
Yes — we regularly prepare documents for use abroad. If the receiving country requires an apostille or further legalisation, add the apostille & legalization service to your order and we’ll handle the extra step.
How long does a standard translation take?
Most page-based translations (sworn, legal, technical & medical, business, proofreading) are delivered within 3–5 business days of your order being confirmed, counted from a complete, legible source document.
Can I get it faster?
Yes. Express (24h) and Rush (12h) are available on most translation items at a published surcharge — see the price for each item before you order, no separate quote needed.
What happens if you miss an Express or Rush deadline?
If we miss an agreed Express or Rush deadline for reasons attributable to us, we refund the surcharge in full; the base translation fee stands. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full terms.
How do I receive my translation?
Every order includes a digital delivery — a signed PDF sent to your email. For sworn translations, you can also choose a physical sealed copy by certified post or courier at checkout.
Do I need to send you the original document?
For most services, a clear scan or photo is enough. For a physical sealed sworn translation, we may ask to see the original when you collect it or receive it, depending on the receiving institution’s requirements.
How do I send you my files?
There’s no upload on this site. After you place an order, your confirmation page gives you a ready-to-send email (with your order reference already in the subject line) and our phone number, so you can send your documents straight away.
How do I pay?
Checkout runs as a demonstration at this stage — no payment is taken and no card details are transmitted or stored. We’ll contact you using the details from your order to arrange payment, or you can call us directly.
Are your prices final, or is there a hidden fee?
Every price shown includes IVA (21%). The only extra costs are ones you choose yourself — a faster turnaround, a physical delivery method, or apostille official fees — all shown before you confirm.
Do you invoice for B2B orders?
Yes. Every order can be invoiced to a company. Send us your company name, NIF/CIF and billing address by email — quoting your order reference, or before you order — and we will issue the invoice against it.
Which languages do you work in?
See our full language coverage on the Languages page. Spanish and English cover the majority of orders; we also regularly work in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Romanian and more.
Is every language pair available as a sworn translation?
Sworn translation depends on the availability of an authorised sworn translator for that specific pair. Common pairs are generally available; for less common pairs, contact us to confirm before ordering.
My document has two languages already. Can you still translate it?
Yes — tell us the source and target language when you order, or contact us if your document mixes several languages so we can scope it correctly.
Who sees my documents?
Only the translator and reviewer assigned to your order. We don’t share client documents with third parties beyond the specific authority you’re submitting to, and we don’t use client content to train any AI system.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, for legal, technical & medical, business and localization projects — ask when you place your order or contact us before checkout.
How long do you keep my documents?
We keep a copy of completed orders for our own records and for any correction request within the 14-day guarantee window. Contact us if you’d like your files deleted sooner.
