Cookie Policy

01. What cookies are

Cookies (and similar technologies, such as local storage) are small pieces of data a website stores on your device to remember information between visits or between pages.

02. The cookies and local storage this site uses

bt_cart_v1 — remembers the contents of your cart between pages and visits (Essential, until cleared or replaced). bt_consent_v1 — remembers your cookie preference so we don’t ask again every visit (Essential, 12 months). bt_last_order_v1 — lets your order confirmation page survive a refresh (Essential, until cleared or replaced). _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics 4) — distinguishes visitors and sessions for aggregate, anonymised usage statistics (Analytics — opt-in, up to 13 months).

03. Essential cookies

These run the cart, checkout, language switcher and your cookie preference itself. They can’t be switched off, because the site can’t function as a shop without them, but they don’t track you across other websites.

04. Analytics cookies

Google Analytics 4 is used, only with your consent, to understand which pages are useful. It runs with Google’s Consent Mode v2: until you accept the Analytics category, all four consent signals (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are set to "denied," and the Analytics script is never added to the page. If you accept, the script loads and the cookies listed above are set. We do not use any advertising or marketing cookies.

05. Managing your preference

You can accept, reject, or choose exactly which category to allow the first time you visit, and you can change your mind at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page, or by returning to this page. Your choice is not pre-selected for you — nothing is switched on by default except essential cookies, and accepting is never made easier than rejecting.

06. Third parties

Where Analytics is enabled, Google acts as our data processor for that data. See our Privacy Policy at /legal/privacy/ for how that data may be transferred outside the EEA.

Essential — always on

Required to run the cart, checkout, language switcher and your cookie choice itself. These can’t be switched off.

Always on

Analytics — off by default

Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which pages are useful. No analytics script loads, and no data reaches Google, until you switch this on. You can turn it off again at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
