What exactly is a "sworn" translation?
A sworn translation is signed and sealed by a translator, which certifies that the translation is a complete and accurate rendering of the original document. That signature and seal are what give it official standing before Spanish authorities.
Do I need the original document, or is a scan enough?
A clear scan or photo of the full document — including stamps, seals and the back page if it carries information — is enough for us to translate it. Some institutions ask to see the original alongside the sworn translation when you submit it; we’ll tell you if yours does.
